Melinda's Enchanted Cottage Presents Carnivale Freakshow!

From Ringling Brothers to Barnum and Bailey, the circus world freak show reached a height of popularity throughout the United States during your late 19th century and early 20th century.

Walk back in time with us to the 1940s when the "all american family" valued time spent with loved ones, over the grindstone of work and the almighty dollar. Grab your family and friends and bring them out for a titillating night out at the Carnivale Freakshow!

Melinda's Enchanted Cottage is proud to present this event, beginning with an opportunity to consult with our "Gypsy Fortune Tellers" from 5pm-8pm. Their bewitching readings will inspire you, using intriguing methods of divination from around the world, including Crystal Ball, Tarot, and Bones!

At 8pm, the doors to the BigTop open, and you are able to step right up and prepare yourself for an emporium of magical amusement! Take in the sights and smells of the Carnivale, and browse and mingle among the rich history of the weirdest and freakiest people of the world! Games and challenges will test your skills, while the smells tempt and tease your appetite. Dance to lively music on our lit dancefloor, sweeping your partner in carefree abandon, while keeping your eyes open for the essence of the spirits from the past who may wish to join us!

If its food or drink you want, a glorious buffet awaits you beginning at 9pm! Traditional corn dogs, sausages on a bun, corn on the cob, a baked potato bar with all the fixings including chili, and so much more! There will be nachos. So many nachos! Sweet treats will satisfy your sweet tooth. Candy apples, candy floss, pies and other desserts just like gramma makes...but better! And popcorn. There will definately be popcorn! Many beverage options will be included, and a cash bar will provide you with plenty of options to quench your thirst for spirits.

And of course, since this is a masquarade party, it wouldn't be complete without the opportunity to let your creativity shine!  Prizes will be given out to the best costumes. Become inspired by historic icons like Myrtle Corbin the four legged girl, Annie Jones the bearded lady, or Jack Earl the gentle giant, and let your imagination run wild. Here at the Freakshow, all are welcome!

So put life aside for a night, and come on down to the Carnivale Freakshow! Let us distract you for a spell... leave it to us... ...we are good at this!
